Happy St Paddy’s Day to all you AVP players out there. On March 18th Sega will release downloadable content for Xbox360, PlayStation3, and Steam!

The dlc will include four new maps and several new modes of play, it’s called the “Swarm Pack”. Here’s what’s inside:

Docks: The caustic alkali waters of BG-386 put an end to Weyland-Yutani’s planned shipping activities. But this dockyard soon became an historic battleground.

Machine: As well as processing exotic ores, the BG-386 Refinery provided electrical power to the colonists at Freya’s Prospect. The lights may still be on, but nobody’s home. Yet.

Two new Survivor maps in which up to four Marines battle to stay alive against increasing swarms of Aliens:

Outpost: The site of the original Weyland-Yutani colony on BG-386 was abandoned, and soon reclaimed by the planet’s voracious jungle plant life. It is now the perfect hunting ground for all manner of wildlife.
Hive: Deep in the heart of the Freya’s Prospect Refinery lays the Xenomorph Hive. Beware all who enter here.

The “Swarm Map Pack” will be available on March 18th for $6.99 or 560 Microsoft Points.

2K Games Announces DLC For Bioshock 2

Developer 2K Games has announced its plan to release the first DLC pack for Bioshock 2 in March. An exact release date has not been given, but the package is confirmed to be 400 Microsoft points and will be $4.99 on the Playstation Network. Details on PC release were not mentioned, but the pack will likely be released on Steam though price is unknown.

The first of several planned DLC releases, this pack, dubbed the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack, expands on to the multiplayer experience by adding two new characters, a host of new challenges and items, and an increase to the rank cap, allowing players to reach as high as level 50. No content is being added to the single-player campaign, but 2K Games does make some non-committal statements that seem to allude to more single-player content in future DLC.

Resident Evil 5 Downloadable Content Hits Marketplace

Fans of zombie-shooter series Resident Evil rejoice as the first DLC pack for Resident Evil 5 hits the Xbox Live marketplace today with a release on the Playstation Network coming tomorrow. For under five bucks, you get access to a new scenario, exploring Spencer Mansion as seen previously only in flashbacks, as well as 2 exclusive characters for the online Mercenaries mini-game, each with their own weapons and costumes.

Capcom intends to release another DLC pack early next month as well as a re-release of Resident Evil 5 containing both DLC packs titled Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, also for slated early March. No word yet on any PC released for the DLC, but based on Capcom’s history they’ll likely be coming down the pipe in another 4-6 months.

Because you demanded it, Resident Evil 5′s first DLC episode Lost in Nightmares makes its way onto Xbox Live today for 400 MSP. It will be hitting the PlayStation Network tomorrow for $4.99.

B.S.A.A. agents, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine have tracked down the location of Umbrella founder Ozwell E. Spencer’s mansion. Previously only told through cut scenes in Resident Evil 5, players now can experience the events that lead up to Jill’s “death”.

With the purchase of Lost in Nightmares, you’ll also receive 2 extra characters for Mercenaries Reunion.
