R2D2 here,

Apple Inc. said Friday that it was "stunned" to find that its iPhones have for years been using a "totally wrong" formula to determine how many bars of signal strength they are getting. Since Job’s first fix “you’re holding it wrong” did not sell well he now has the solution: Use software to pretend that the hardware is working. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Oh, and that new software will also make you weigh ten pounds less and will add 10K to your bank account. Ahhhhhhahahahaha! Oops, help me Obi-Wan! I laughed so hard I fell over and can’t get up.

It’s July and hot on Earth. Better drink up that Kool-Aid.

No such problems with my Droids. The hardware is the best in the galaxy. You earthlings can expect another delivery very soon. The Millennium Falcon has just jumped to hyperspace to get my Droids there without delay.

Hey Niel, yes that happened to me too. I don't remember that happening before either. I'd *speculate* that some of the code or files had to be ported to ios4 but that's not confirmed.

Ethical questions aside, there are labs researching human interfaces with machines / software. The most notable being the one that Matt Nagle sports around.

You can read more about the history on the subject here:

http://www.ics.uci.edu/~abehm/class_reports/stuttgart/bci/Behm-Kollotzek-Hueske_BCIs.pdf

There is also work being done at DARPA, and as you can expect robot arms are basically a prosthetic leap forward for soldier amputees.

http://spectrum.ieee.org/biomedical/devices/mastering-the-braincomputer-interface

And on a final note, Emotive systems is working hard at this as well. The video of AI legend Marvin Minsky moving around a virtual reality box with only his thoughts is pretty awesome.

Well, I've been obsessively checking every day, all day long for news of a 2.1 upgrade for my Hero. To be honest, I didn't think we would see a 4g phone until the end of the year. It may be impetuous and ridiculously optimistic, but I'm planning to buy the Evo for myself and my boyfriend just as soon as it hits the shelf. I've been waiting a long time for this kind of hardware on an Android device. I was an early adopter. I've had a G1, a myTouch and now a Hero. My dad has my boyfriend's old G1, My boyfriend and I both have Sprint Heros now. We had to switch networks when we couldn't get voice or data coverage in our home or offices. We have Clear Networks as an ISP, so I'm super psyched to see Sprint partnering with them. And I'm way excited about the possibility of simultaneous voice/data services. Anyway, glad to find a community like http://www.Evo4Gforum.net with full of people as anxious as I am for the release of the Evo.
