BlizzCon 2010 Set for Anaheim Convention Center

It’s been announced that this year’s BlizzCon will be held in Anaheim California on Friday October 22nd and Saturday October 23rd 2010. BlizzCon is not only a gaming convention, it’s a gaming convention held by the company that makes one of the top selling game series ever, Call of Duty.

Also, Activision/Blizzard of course make other landmark titles like Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo universe games. These three massivly multiplayer games have killed millions of hours of peoples time and BlizzConn is a time for all the gaming geeks like me to get together and have a blast IRL.

Some things to look forward to at BlizzCon are:

  • Hand on demos with upcoming games
  • A forum with Blizzard Developers
  • Both cut throat and friendly tournaments to show your skills
  • contests and prizes
  • special commemorative gear
  • and more that Blizzard will announce in the months to come

Sprint has announced that this summer it will be releasing the HTC Evo, a 4G Android phone. It seems like people have given up on an “iPhone killer” but this is quite a powerful phone.

Google removes censorship from searches in China

Yesterday Google announced that they’d be removing any form of censorship from searches in China.  Since Google has been in the China they’ve always bowed to the will of the Chinese government and filtered search results.  Censor no more.  Chinese Googlers will now be redirected from Google.cn to Google.hk

Google launches Smart Rescheduler in Calendar labs

Today Google announced that they’d be adding a feature in Google Calendar labs that searches for free time for meetings, automatically. This is a feature people in the enterprise are familiar with in big expensive calendar programs and now Google is giving it a shot using their ranking algorithms.
